Operational Excellence

Some of the previous ways that we’ve managed our companies must change.

The world is a new place, with new rules. Succeeding in this new era requires that we reimagine our organizations and develop new ways of looking at our problems.

The lens of Operational Excellence helps us view these problems and their surrounding context from a different perspective.

A lens bends and refracts light to alter our vision. It allows us to see things differently.

The right kind of lens takes what’s already there, and through convergence and divergence, provides us a different view. It focuses our vision on those things we need to see with more clarity.

Operational Excellence isn't a program that you implement. And it's definitely not a certification that you receive. Instead, Operational Excellence is a state of readiness that our companies can achieve.

We define Operational Excellence as the readiness level achieved when a business becomes aligned in its strategy and the culture is committed to the continuous improvement of performance and the environment of those accomplishing the work.

Realizing Operational Excellence results in a more resilient business capable of executing strategy better than competitors, with higher revenues, lower risk, and optimized operating costs.

Through the pursuit of Operational Excellence, we can make our companies more resilient.

White Tree

The pandemic exposed many weaknesses in our systems and structures. Some of these we know about already. Others are still being discovered.

We believe companies can take intentional steps towards excellence that improve their resilience before the next crisis reveals itself.

For a company to become more resilient, it must be aligned in its strategy. It must effectively manage risks at the enterprise level.  It must optimize costs. And it must be operationally excellent.
